This news is sponsored by the Roberta Rose Foundation. The Roberta Rose Foundation works tirelessly to improve access to vital mental health services in our community. The nonprofit’s most recent endeavor is to establish a program to offer free emergency and rapid mental health services to Dale County and Ozark first responders. Though our first responders have insurance and peer support and can visit a mental health provider, they often must first see their primary care doctor and get a referral, and then wait weeks before getting an appointment. The Roberta Rose Foundation wants to be there for them immediately in the event they need mental health services, such as counseling. Also, they will not have to pay a copay or any fees through this program. In order to achieve this mission, however, the foundation needs the support of the community through tax-deductible donations. To make a tax-deductible contribution, you may mail it or drop it off at 1518 East Andrews Ave., Suite D, Ozark, AL, 36360 during the hours of 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday-Thursday. You may also donate via Cash App at $RRCFS. Tax receipts for deductions are available upon request. Let’s work together to make this vision a reality and support our first responders.
