The Ariton Lady Cats and Purple Cats earned a clean sweep over Slocomb on Monday night, with both teams securing decisive wins on the road.
Girls: Ariton 52, Slocomb 43
The Lady Cats pulled away late to claim a 52–43 victory, led by a standout performance from AC Free, who scored a game-high 20 points. Madolyn Hudson added 12, giving Ariton a strong one-two punch offensively.
Macileigh Bragg and Lizzy Woodfaulk chipped in 6 points apiece, while KJ Woodfaulk finished with 5. Ayari McCloud added 3 to round out the scoring.
Slocomb’s effort was paced by Bennett with 14 points and Seay with 10.
Boys: Ariton 57, Slocomb 26
Ariton’s varsity boys followed with a dominant 57–26 win, controlling the game from start to finish.
Bryson Rhett led the Purple Cats with 13 points, while Conner Davidson scored 9. Easton Kilpatrick delivered a strong all-around performance, recording 7 points and 9 rebounds. Addison Senn also added 7 points.
Slocomb’s scoring was led by a trio of players—Nick Gamez, Cobey Huguley, and Weston Sasser—who each finished with 6 points.
The two victories mark a strong showing for Ariton as both teams continue to build momentum early in the season.
