The Ariton Junior High boys basketball team earned a hard-fought 25–20 victory over South Dale Middle School in an exciting matchup that showcased strong defense and clutch performances on both sides.
Ariton’s offense was led by Wilson Collier, who scored 10 points, while Colton Grantham added 8 points to help secure the win. The Purple Cats controlled the tempo for much of the game, using steady teamwork and timely shooting to stay ahead of South Dale.
For South Dale, Jaden Pearce led the scoring effort with 9 points, and Jaden Gollon contributed 5 points in a solid showing. Despite a strong late push from the Eagles, Ariton’s defense held firm in the final minutes to preserve the victory.
The win marks another positive step for Ariton’s junior high program as they continue with their perfect record. Both teams have been working hard on and off the court as they continue to develop their young talent this season.
