Ariton Junior High Boys Defeat G.W. Long in Dale County Schools System Rival Matchup

ARITON—The Ariton Junior High boys basketball team delivered yet another commanding performance this week as the Purple Cats took on the G,W, Long Rebels. The Purple Cats won, 39–16.
Ariton’s offense was led by Wilson Collier, who posted an impressive 14 points along with six assists. Colton Grantham added 10 points, while Brooks Wallace chipped in 4 points to help secure the win.
Defensively, the Purple Cats held Long to just 16 points, with Jaxon Brannon leading the Rebels’ scoring effort with 5 points.
The win marks a strong showing for Ariton as the team continues to build momentum and improves their record to an impressive 11-0.
