Ariton Junior High took on Providence Christian Tuesday afternoon in the boys basketball season opener, and they started it off with a bang.
The Ariton Purple Cats managed a spectacular win over Providence, defeating them 47 to 21.
Wilson Collier was the standout on the Ariton boys basketball team yesterday. Collier scored 15 points and made 8 assists. Colton Grantham also scored an impressive 12 points while Bryce Davis scored 6 points for the Purple Cats.
Providence’s Corwin Thomas was their standout player of the afternoon, scoring 10 points.
