ARITON–The Town of Ariton will mark a major milestone soon as residents prepare to gather to celebrate its 120th anniversary of becoming a town with a special event at the Ariton Museum, located at the corner of Main Street and Creel Richardson Road, Ariton, Alabama.
The celebration is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026, beginning at 11 a.m. Organizers will feature a public display of Ariton’s original 1906 Articles of Incorporation, giving residents a rare opportunity to view the foundational documents from the town’s first days.
In addition to the historic presentation, the event will include a community meal with hot dogs, hamburgers, and birthday cake.
Officials say the gathering is intended to honor Ariton’s history while providing a family-friendly opportunity for residents to come together and celebrate the town’s growth and heritage.
Community members are encouraged to attend the free event and take part in the 120th birthday celebration.
