The Ann Rudd Art Center in Ozark has opened its newest exhibition, showcasing the vibrant and expressive work of local artist Victoria Hamm. Titled “Another Opening…Another Show: Victoria Hamm Solo Exhibition!”, the exhibit will run December 6 through January 16, 2026, with an opening reception set for December 7 from 3:00–5:00 p.m. at the Rudd Art Center/Dowling Museum.
Hamm, who grew up in Central New York and now lives in Ozark with her family, brings a rich artistic background to her latest showcase. She earned a scholarship to the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute and later completed a two-year Fine Arts degree at Monroe Community College.
Her work draws inspiration from Pop Art legend Andy Warhol, particularly his fearless use of color. The exhibition features striking celebrity portraits and expressive depictions of women—subjects Hamm says hold particular meaning for her.
According to the artist, she is drawn to faces because she believes “the mind and heart are reflected in the face.” She especially enjoys painting women, aiming to “honor their individuality and diversity” through unique facial expressions and bold visual style.
Hamm hopes her colorful approach leaves visitors with a sense of positivity. “Art should make you happy! The bold colors should project an uplifting feeling,” she said. “I hope you enjoy.”
The Ann Rudd Art Center invites the public to experience Hamm’s work throughout the exhibition’s six-week run and celebrate a standout talent within the Dale County arts community.
The Rudd Art Center, through the Dale County Council of the Arts and Humanities, will also host another art workshop. On Saturday, December 13, Tim Bates will lead “Drawing Faces 101.” The class will be from 10:00 a.m.-12:00-noon.
