The Carroll High School Eagles varsity boys used a strong first half and a decisive late push to earn a 68–52 win over the Eufaula Tigers on Friday night at Carroll High School.
Carroll set the tone early, building a 35–21 lead by halftime behind balanced scoring and steady defensive pressure. The Eagles controlled the pace of play, limiting Eufaula’s transition opportunities while consistently finding open looks on the offensive end.
Spectators were treated to local city rec action during halftime as the city’s kids’ teams got to take to the court and play in front of the crowd. The following Kids’ teams took to the court: 12U – Lakers vs. Cavaliers; 12U – Dream vs. Fever; and 10U – Bucks vs. Hawks

After the break, Eufaula responded with improved ball movement and scoring, trimming into the deficit during the second half. However, Carroll answered each surge with timely baskets and strong rebounding, preventing the Tigers from gaining sustained momentum.
Devon Pruitt led the Eagles with 18 points, providing a steady scoring presence throughout the game. Andre March added 14 points, while Jeremiah Hairston chipped in 10 to give Carroll three players in double figures. Jaylen Stuckey finished with seven points, and Alex McClendon and Na’Shawn Goodwin each contributed eight as Carroll continued to get production from multiple spots in the lineup.
For Eufaula, M. Cullins led the Tigers with 16 points, while J. Mahone added nine.
Carroll closed the game with composure, executing offensively in the final minutes and tightening up defensively to seal the 16-point victory.
The win highlights Carroll’s continued progress as the Eagles prepare for the next matchups. Carroll will host Pike Road on January 27 and Abbeville on January 30. Friday, January 30, will also be Senior Night for the Carroll Eagles.
