OZARK—The Carroll High School Eagles turned in one of their strongest performances in recent weeks Monday night, defeating Northside Methodist Academy 8-1 in a non-conference matchup at home. The game also happened to coincide with Senior Night, as the Eagles celebrated senior Zekayden Vincent.
The victory marked Carroll’s most decisive win since late March and brought an end to a losing streak, giving the Eagles a much-needed boost as the season winds down.
Carroll’s offense set the tone early and stayed consistent throughout the game, piling up 15 hits against Northside Methodist pitching. Ryder Donze and Daniel Lopez led the charge at the plate with two runs batted in each, while Zekayden Vincent, Josiah Monson, and Trent Houston each added one RBI.
Lopez also delivered a standout performance on the mound. The Eagles’ pitcher limited Northside Methodist to just five hits and one run across the night, keeping the Knights from gaining any offensive momentum.
On the other side, Chase Collins took the loss for Northside Methodist, surrendering 15 hits as Carroll’s lineup continued to apply pressure inning after inning.
The Eagles got off to a strong start, grabbing five runs in the first and two in the second inning. Carroll’s balanced effort, combining timely hitting with solid pitching, proved to be the difference in the game. Carroll controlled the pace from start to finish and never allowed Northside Methodist to mount a serious comeback.
With the victory, Carroll capped off what has been a hard season on a high note.
