OZARK — The Carroll High School girls’ soccer team delivered a strong all-around performance Tuesday night, rolling past G.W. Long 6–1 to improve to 2-0 and build momentum as their season kicks into high gear.
Kairos Moreno paced the offense with a dominant outing, scoring four goals and adding an assist as Carroll built control early and never looked back. Derriona Snell added a goal and two assists, while Kayla Moore finished with a goal and an assist to round out a balanced scoring attack.
Carroll also found success creating chances through ball movement and pressure, with Leilani Faulk and Caylea Collins each recording an assist.
Defensively, the Lady Eagles limited opportunities and controlled possession. Goalkeeper Molly Weeks earned the win in net, finishing with six saves. Ryken Jones contributed on the defensive end as well, tallying five steals to help disrupt G.W. Long’s attack.
With the victory, Carroll remains unbeaten early in the season. They will next face Ariton on the road on February 14 at 12:30 p.m., while they return home to take on Charles Henderson on February 17 at 5:30 p.m.
