OZARK — The Carroll High School Lady Eagles opened the 2026 soccer season in dramatic fashion Friday night, rolling to an 8–0 victory over the Dale County High School Lady Warriors in a home matchup at Carroll High School.
Carroll set the tone early and never let up, using balanced scoring, crisp ball movement, and relentless pressure to control play from the opening whistle.
Kairos Moreno led the offensive surge with a standout performance, scoring four goals and adding an assist in the season-opening win. Leilani Faulk was equally impactful, finding the net twice while dishing out four assists to help fuel the Lady Eagles’ attack.
Kaylee Johnson and Amaya Hernandez accounted for Carroll’s remaining goals, as the Lady Eagles spread the scoring across the lineup. Allison King and Kayla Moore each contributed an assist in a strong team effort.
Carroll’s defense was just as sharp, limiting Dale County’s opportunities throughout the match. Ryken McClendon recorded six steals on the back line, disrupting possessions and quickly turning defense into offense. In goal, Molly Weeks secured the shutout, preserving a clean sheet in the opener.
The win showcased the depth of Carroll’s roster as the Lady Eagles began the season with momentum and confidence.
The Carroll High girls’ soccer team is coached by Kirke Adams, and the varsity roster for the 2026 season includes Leilani Faulk, Alyssa Bonilla, Allison King, Kaylee Johnson, Amaya Hernandez, Molly Weeks, Derionna Snell, Caylea Collins, Vivian Ibarra, Mia Ramos Torres, Kairos Moreno, Ryken McClendon, Kayla Moore, Megan Tillotson, and Jayla Hasan.
The Lady Eagles junior varsity roster is made up of Aliya McGuire, Carleigh Clarke, Bre’Anna Flowers, Ivyanna Rogers, Layla Hernandez, Amelia McKnight, Lyla Fernandez, Brooke Johnson, Arianna Smith, and Arianna Means.
Carroll will return to action tonight, February 9, hosting the G.W. Long Lady Rebels at 5:30 p.m. The Lady Eagles will then travel to Ariton on February 14 for a 12:30 p.m. matchup against the Ariton Lady Cats.
