OZARK — Ozark Parks and Recreation has announced the cancellation of all baseball, softball, and soccer evaluations scheduled for this week due to ongoing cold temperatures across the area.
Officials said the decision was made out of concern for participant safety, noting that the current weather conditions are not suitable for children to practice outdoors during evening hours.
Parks and Recreation staff will continue to monitor conditions and provide an update once temperatures improve and it is safe to resume outdoor activities. Families are encouraged to stay alert for future announcements regarding rescheduled evaluations.
“We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we prioritize the health and safety of our youth athletes,” the department stated.
