OZARK—As Alabama voters prepare for the June 16 primary runoff election, local political parties in Dale County are continuing to engage members and the public through upcoming meetings and campaign-related events, including welcoming guest speakers.

The Dale County Republican Party will hold its regular monthly meeting today, Monday, June 15, at 6 p.m. in the meeting room at Hoppergrass Restaurant, located at 129 East Avenue North in Ozark.

According to the party’s announcement, the meeting will feature Republican U.S. Senate candidate Barry Moore as a guest speaker. Attendees will also hear from congressional candidate David Matthews.

Party officials said light snacks and refreshments will be available, and all members of the public are invited to attend.

Meanwhile, the Dale County Democratic Party has announced details for its next meeting, scheduled for Monday, July 13, at 6 p.m. in the Bay Meeting Room at the Ozark Dale County Library.

The Democratic Party’s June meeting has already been held. However, organizers announced that the July meeting will feature guest speaker Mariah Payne, regional field organizer for Doug Jones’ campaign for governor.

According to local Democratic Party leadership, Payne is expected to bring campaign yard signs for supporters of the Jones gubernatorial campaign.

Both local party organizations continue to host meetings and events as candidates across Alabama campaign ahead of the 2026 general election cycle. Residents interested in learning more about the candidates and party platforms are encouraged to attend meetings hosted by the political organization of their choice.
