The Daleville Warhawks enjoyed a strong night on the hardwood against Slocomb High School, earning victories at both the boys junior varsity and varsity levels in front of the home crowd.
The junior varsity boys closed out a strong season in impressive fashion with a 50–40 win over Slocomb. Sam Horne delivered a standout performance, pouring in 29 points while pulling down eight rebounds to lead Daleville on both ends of the floor. Jacob Rivera added nine points and four rebounds as the Warhawks maintained control throughout the contest. The victory marked the final game of the season for the JV squad, ending the season on a high note. They finished 13-7, a winning record that includes a 6-game winning streak and an area win record of 5-1.
In varsity boys action, Daleville continued the momentum with a 70–53 win over Slocomb. MJ Flowers led the Warhawks with 16 points and five rebounds, while Joseph Ray turned in a strong all-around effort, finishing with 13 points. Daleville’s balanced scoring and improved execution were evident as the Warhawks pulled away down the stretch.
The varsity win reflected the hard work the Warhawks have put into their game and signaled a turnaround following a stretch of tough losses where the team struggled to find its rhythm. With renewed confidence, Daleville now looks ahead to a busy week, traveling to Brantley on Monday before returning home to host Headland on Tuesday.
