DALEVILLE — The Daleville Band Parent Association is encouraging all members of the Daleville High School band program, including incoming eighth-grade students, to attend an important band meeting scheduled for Monday, June 9.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Daleville High School band room and will provide information about the upcoming marching band season, program expectations, and important dates and activities for the months ahead.
According to the Daleville Band Parent Association, all incoming eighth-grade students who will be joining the band program are invited to attend.
“This meeting includes all incoming 8th-grade rookies, so please make plans to attend if you can,” the organization said in an announcement. “There will be lots of important information shared about the upcoming season, expectations, and what’s ahead for the Pride of the South.”
The upcoming meeting follows a successful fundraising effort held on Wednesday, June 3, when members of the Daleville High School Auxiliary, including the Color Guard and Majorettes, hosted a car wash fundraiser at Bojangles in Daleville.
The fundraiser was organized to help raise money for uniforms, equipment, and other program needs for auxiliary members as they prepare for the 2026 marching season. Community members were invited to stop by for a car wash and make donations in support of the students.
Band parents and students will have an opportunity to learn more about preparations for the 2026 season and receive updates from band leadership during the June 9 meeting.
The Daleville Band Parent Association said it is looking forward to welcoming both returning members and new students as the Pride of the South prepares for another year of performances and school spirit.
“We’re excited to see everyone there!” the association said.
The meeting will be held on June 9 at 6 p.m. in the Daleville High School band room. All band members, parents, and incoming eighth-grade rookies are encouraged to attend.
