Several student groups and organizations at Daleville High School are hosting fundraisers this winter and early spring to support student programs, school activities, and upcoming milestone events, providing multiple opportunities for the community to get involved.
One of the largest fundraising efforts currently underway is a Krispy Kreme doughnut fundraiser hosted by the Daleville High School junior class. Running from February 1 through February 21, the fundraiser supports preparations for the 2026 DHS prom. Supporters can purchase a doughnut certificate for $14, which can be redeemed for a free dozen Original Glazed doughnuts at the Krispy Kreme location in Dothan. The regular price for a dozen is $15.75.
All proceeds from the sale will go directly toward prom-related expenses. Those interested in purchasing a certificate may contact a DHS junior or reach out by phone at 334-360-2371 or by email at [email protected].
Additionally, the Daleville High School FFA chapter is hosting its annual strawberry fundraiser. Orders and payment are due by February 12, with strawberries scheduled for delivery during the second week of March.
The FFA is offering several purchase options, including a full flat of strawberries, consisting of eight quarts, for $27, a half flat of four quarts for $16, and a chocolate strawberry kit for $16. Orders can be placed by contacting any Daleville High School FFA member.
The Daleville High School band, known as “The Pride of the South,” is also raising funds to help purchase new band uniforms. The band is selling Domino’s Pizza cards for $20. Each card entitles the holder to receive a free large pizza with the purchase of a large pizza at the regular menu price. Community members interested in supporting the band may sponsor an individual band student by purchasing a card or by donating cards for others to use. In addition to the pizza card fundraiser, the Daleville Band Parents Association will host the Miles 4 Music 5K on Saturday, March 21, 2026, with the course running through the City of Daleville. The event offers participants a unique experience, allowing runners to move along the route to live music performed by members of the Daleville “Pride of the South” Marching Band.
This year’s theme, “Music Moves You Forward,” will feature a soundtrack designed to uplift runners with energetic and inspiring selections performed throughout the course. Organizers say the event combines fitness, community involvement, and school spirit while supporting the Daleville band program.
School administrators say that fundraisers and community events, such as these, play a vital role in sustaining extracurricular programs while fostering student leadership and engagement. Athletic teams, clubs, and career-technical organizations regularly rely on community support to help cover costs related to equipment, travel, and special events.
