The Daleville Warhawks hosted Geneva High School in a home basketball matchup, coming away with a split on the night as the junior varsity team earned a dramatic win while the varsity squad fell.
In varsity action, Daleville struggled to find an offensive rhythm and dropped a 66–26 decision to Geneva High School. Trey Peters paced the Warhawks with eight points, and Nigel Threatt followed with four.
The junior varsity contest provided the highlight of the night for the home crowd in Daleville. The Warhawks JV edged Geneva High School 38–35 in a tightly contested game that came down to the final possession. Malik Sylvain hit the game-winning shot and led Daleville with 12 points, while Jacob Rivera added 11 points in the victory.
Daleville will look to carry the JV momentum forward as both teams continue their schedule in the coming weeks.
