The Daleville Warhawks picked up a win at the junior varsity level but came up short in varsity action Friday night against Ashford.
Daleville’s JV team continued its strong run, earning its fifth consecutive victory with a solid performance over Ashford. Malik Sylvain and David Matlalcuatzi paced the Warhawks with six points each, helping Daleville extend its winning streak and build momentum.
In the varsity contest, Daleville struggled to keep pace, falling to Ashford by a final score of 73-30. Ja’veon McLeod led the Warhawks with 14 points while also contributing three rebounds and two steals. Travis Sylvain added six points and three rebounds.
Daleville will look to build on the JV team’s success and regroup at the varsity level as the Warhawks prepare to take on Dale County in Midland City on Tuesday, January 13.
