DALEVILLE — The Daleville Public Library has released its July 2026 calendar, offering a variety of educational, creative, and community-centered programs for residents of all ages. From story times for young children to book clubs, arts and crafts, history discussions, and educational workshops, the library’s schedule provides opportunities for lifelong learning throughout the month.
The library will be closed July 3 through July 6 in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
Programs for Children
Young readers and families have several recurring opportunities to enjoy activities at the library.
Little Learner’s Storytime will be held each Friday at 10 a.m. on July 10, 17, 24, and 31. The program is designed to encourage early literacy through stories, songs, and interactive activities.
Children interested in the outdoors can also participate in the Nature Club, scheduled for Friday, July 17, at 1:30 p.m.
Makerspace Monday returns three times during the month at 1:30 p.m. on July 13, 20, and 27, giving children hands-on opportunities to create, build, and explore.
Teen Programs
Teen readers can take part in the Teen Book Club every Wednesday during July at 1:30 p.m. Meetings are scheduled for July 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29.
In recognition of America’s 250th anniversary, the library will also host Foundations of Freedom: History & Heritage every Wednesday at 4 p.m. The program offers teens and families an opportunity to learn more about American history and heritage.
Adult Programs
Adults have several recurring activities to choose from throughout the month.
Crochet Class meets Tuesdays at 4 p.m. on July 7, 14, 21, and 28.
The Adult Book Club meets Thursday, July 16, at 4 p.m., providing readers an opportunity to discuss the month’s featured selection.
Seniors are invited to enjoy a Senior Movie on Thursday, July 16, at 12:15 p.m.
The library will also host American Sign Language Study Group sessions at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, July 10, and Friday, July 24.
Amateur radio enthusiasts can attend Daleville Amateur Radio Club (DARC) events. A testing session is scheduled for Saturday, July 11, at 10 a.m., while the club’s monthly meeting will take place Saturday, July 25, at 10 a.m.
Programs for the Entire Community
Several events are open to participants of all ages.
The Montgomery Zoo will present a special educational program at the library on Thursday, July 2, at 1:30 p.m., offering families an opportunity to learn about wildlife through live animal presentations.
Families can also enjoy the Saturday Paper Art Studio at 10 a.m. on July 18 and July 25. The creative program is designed to be family-friendly and welcomes participants of all skill levels.
In addition to its scheduled events, the library continues its America 250-themed Community Reading Challenge, encouraging residents to read, discuss, and explore books related to the nation’s history through chats and activities.
