The Daleville Warhawks turned in a strong defensive performance Monday night, defeating Slocomb 50–29 in a game defined by pressure, steady pacing, and balanced scoring.
Daleville’s offense was steady throughout, with Nigel Threatt leading the way with 10 points and two assists. Travis Sylvain made a major impact on both ends of the floor, contributing 12 points while collecting three steals to spark transition opportunities for the Warhawks.
Defensively, Daleville controlled the tempo and limited Slocomb’s looks at the basket. Westen Sasser led Slocomb with 9 points, but the Red Tops struggled to find consistent scoring against the Warhawks’ intensity.
With the win, Daleville continues to build momentum early in the season, showing the kind of energy and defensive toughness that has quickly become their trademark. The Warhawks will look to carry that focus into tonight’s road matchup against Barbour County.
