The Daleville High School Warhawks pulled out a hard-fought 63–60 victory over Northside Methodist Academy earlier this week, capping off a tight matchup that went down to the wire.
Though the score went back and forth through the game, the Warhawks never gave up, perservering through the entire matchup. Assistant Basketball Coach Jaren Jones said he was proud of the team’s composure as they battled to clinch the win.
Ja’veon McLeod led the Warhawks with an impressive 24 points, setting the pace offensively. MJ Flowers added 13 points, and Travis Sylvain contributed 11, giving Daleville a solid spread of scoring that helped them maintain control in key moments.
The win gives the Warhawks momentum heading into their next road test. Both the JV and Varsity squads are set to travel to Zion Chapel on Thursday night, where they’ll look to keep building on their early-season progress.
