Daleville High School Warhawks’ varsity football team travelled to Opp to take on the Bobcats at Channell-Lee Stadium during Friday night’s game (9/19/2025).
At the end of the 1st Quarter, Opp carried a small lead over Daleville, 20-17.
During the 3rd quarter, Daleville’s offense fought to keep the Opp Bobcats from scoring. Also, with 7:50 remaining, Daleville managed to retake the lead, scoring a touchdown and adding a successful point-after-touchdown kick, bringing the score to 24-20 in favor of Daleville.
In the 4th quarter, however, Opp kicked things into high gear with their offense and defense working together to prevent Daleville from scoring any more points, and the Bobcats managed to score two more touchdowns as well as two good PAT kicks. At the 12:00-minute mark, Opp led Daleville 34-24.
Opp’s streak continued throughout the remainder of the 4th quarter, with the Bobcats pushing Daleville hard. The Warhawks did not give up, though. But Opp scored two more touchdowns with both PATs successful, adding two more points, making the final score 48-24 with Opp winning.
With this game, Daleville’s season record is 2 wins and 3 losses. Next week, Daleville faces Wicksburg, and the Warhawks will be back home for this region matchup with kickoff at 7:00 p.m.
