The Daleville Warhawks varsity boys basketball team carried momentum from their hard-fought Tuesday win over Northside Methodist Academy and turned it into another strong performance Thursday night, defeating Zion Chapel 55–43.
Daleville controlled much of the game behind standout efforts from Joseph Ray and MJ Flowers. Ray posted an impressive double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds, while Flowers paced the Warhawks with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Though the Zion Chapel Rebels fought hard and never gave up, they were unable to reach the Warhawks.
The victory gives Daleville added confidence as they head into today’s matchup against Wicksburg. The JV boys will tip off at 4:30 p.m., followed by the varsity girls game, with the varsity boys closing out the evening.
