The Ozark Parks and Recreation has continued to team up with dance instructors Len and Sarah Smolinski to offer free dance lessons at the Ozark Civic Center. The program, which began last year, offers a different type of ballroom dance each Tuesday. The lessons are free to the public.
In January, the program will teach a different style of swing dance each Tuesday. While they focused on East Coast Swing on January 6, the instructors will focus on teaching Lindy on Tuesday, January 13. The lessons begin a 6 p.m. and run through 7:30 p.m.
Here is the schedule for the remainder of the month:
Tuesday, Jan. 13- Lindy- 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Jan. 20-West Coast Swing, 8 Beat Basics – 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Jan. 27 West Coast Swing 6 Beat Basics- 6:00-7:30 p.m.
The instructors of the program want everyone interested in learning dance to come out each Tuesday. Additionally, if you don’t have a dance partner, there is no problem. One will be provided for you if needed.
