TGIF! That means we have area high school football tonight. Here is a preview of the area football games.
Tonight, the Carroll High School Eagles will face off against Region 2 rival Eufaula High School Tigers.
The Eagles (0-4) will host Eufaula (3-1) tonight at Matthews Stadium in Ozark. The freshly-renovated stadium will also be celebrated tonight with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Also, CHS is hosting all area pastors/church leaders. Area pastors are invited to attend the game for free and may bring one guest to enjoy the game from the school’s comfortable stadium suite where light refreshments will be served from 6:30 p.m. until kickoff at 7 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Daleville High School Warhawks (2-2) will travel to face off against Region 2 opponent Opp High School Bobcats (3-0). Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at Channel-Lee Stadium in Opp.
The Dale County High School Warriors (2-2) host the New Brockton Gamecocks (3-1). The Region 2 rivals will face off at Warrior Stadium with kickoff at 7 p.m.
Finally, we have system rivals facing off. The Ariton High School Purple Cats (3-0) will take on the G.W. Long Rebels (2-2) at Rebel Stadium in Skipperville with kickoff at 7 p.m. Ariton High School made this week’s top 20 list, ranking #18 in the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s official ranking of top-scoring teams for offense. With 141 points so far and an average of 47.0, Ariton certainly stands out.
