Summer is drawing to a close, but that doesn’t mean the fun must stop! The Dale County Chronicle has compiled a list of some of the Wiregrass Area’s top attractions, fall festivals, and other events and activities you and your family can enjoy. 
Here are our picks of some popular tourist destinations to visit in the fall–attractions, festivals, and events that make for great field trips or family outings to enjoy the fall weather and see more of what makes the Wiregrass–our home–so special!
Landmark Park (LP) – 430 Landmark Park Dr. in Dothan- Hours: Sunday 12 p.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m..

Dothan Area Botanical Gardens (DABG)- 5130 Headland Ave.- Hours: every day 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
DABG Monarch Tagging & Migration- the majestic Monarch Butterflies are beginning their amazing migration to Central Mexico. Attend this special event to see these bold, beautiful butterflies and learn all about their habits and their incredible journey (up to three thousand miles) to migrate from their northern breeding grounds in the U.S. and Canada to their overwintering vacation homes in Central Mexico!

Fall is the perfect time of year for festivals! There will be many awesome fall festivals in the area. Here are our picks you may want to visit:
OZARK:
Claybank Jamboree Arts & Crafts Festival, held on October 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Square in Downtown Ozark. This festival truly has something for everyone! From kids’ activities, such as inflatables, games, and rides, to events and activities for adults! There will be lots of delicious food and locally made products for you to purchase. You won’t want to miss the fun and the chance to support local businesses and artists!
DOTHAN:
BooFest: Do you want to enjoy a frightfully fun day of fall festivities? This family-friendly celebration is held right in the heart of Downtown Dothan! From thrilling games to tasty treats, there’s something for everyone to enjoy, including:

• Local Celebrity Pie-Eating Contest
• Trick-or-Treat from Booth to Booth – NEW this year! Kids can collect goodies as they explore artisan vendors, small businesses, community organization booths, and city department booths.

ENTERPRISE:
The Boll Weevil Fall Festival. Inspired by Enterprise’s historic and unique downtown Boll Weevil Monument, this is an outdoor event featuring talented arts & crafts vendors, food trucks, interactive activities, entertainment, and more! Festival guests will also have a chance to check out the assortment of unique and talented Main Street merchants and restaurants, enjoy the amenities of the entertainment district, and explore Enterprise’s history through the city’s many murals.
HEADLAND:
The Headland Harvest Festival- this yearly tradition began over five decades ago as a small community gathering featuring a domino competition, bike races, an art show, and performances by local talent. While the event has grown significantly since its beginning, it remains true to its roots by celebrating the spirit and traditions of the community.
Explore Headland’s vibrant Square filled with unique arts and crafts from local artisans. This is the perfect opportunity to find one-of-a-kind gifts, home decor, and handmade treasures that showcase the creativity of the community.
Indulge in all your favorite fair foods, from funnel cakes and corn dogs to cotton candy and kettle corn. With a wide array of delicious treats, you’re sure to satisfy your cravings and discover new favorites.
ELBA:
Pumpkins on the Square, which will feature the best the Elba community has to offer as they celebrate the season. This event offers a fun and safe evening on Halloween for people of all ages to enjoy. The official date has yet to be announced, so be sure to check the Elba Chamber of Commerce for the latest details on the date and time of this year’s festival!
Marley Acres Petting Zoo Pumpkin Patch- this event will take place on Sat., Oct. 4, from 10:00 a.m.– 4:00 PM and Sun., Oct. 5, from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

DALEVILLE:
Daleville’s Annual Fall Festival will be held at Culpepper Park, located at 290 Daleville Ave. The Daleville Chamber of Commerce has announced that this year’s Fall Festival is confirmed and will host a variety of fun events for people of all ages. The festival will feature vendors, food, live music, games, inflatables, and pumpkin picking for children.
October 11, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m,
A canned food raffle drive will also be held in conjunction with the festival. Participants will receive a raffle ticket for every five items donated.
OTHER EVENTS TO CONSIDER:
CornDodgers Farm (HEADLAND) 1550 Knowles Rd.- Sunday 1:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m., Friday 5 p.m.-10 p.m., & Saturday 10:00 a.m.-10 p.m.
Events include: Corn Maze; Wagon Rides; Jumping Pillow; Cow Train, which is a fun and popular ride for younger children.
Tractor Playland: An area designed for children with various tractor-themed activities.
Mini Golf; Barnyard Ballzone & Mini Barnyard Ballzone;
Farm-Size Games: Activities like Konk the Crow, Roller Bowler, tug-of-war, and farm-sized foosball.
Rubber Duck Races; Pony Rides: Available for children aged 12 and under; and much more!
