Geneva–The Daleville High School Warhawks dropped a pair of boys basketball games to the Geneva High School Panthers, with Geneva earning wins at both the JV and varsity levels.
In the JV contest, Geneva secured a 50–34 victory. Daleville was led by Lorenzo Greene, who paced the Warhawks with 19 points. Sam Horne added six points, providing additional scoring as Daleville worked to stay competitive throughout the matchup.
The varsity game followed, with Geneva pulling away for a 54–38 win. Ja’veon McLeod turned in a strong performance for Daleville, leading all Warhawks with 18 points while also recording three rebounds and two steals. MJ Flowers contributed a solid effort as well, finishing with 11 points and eight rebounds, battling inside against Geneva’s physical presence.
Despite the setbacks, Daleville showed flashes of promise and strong individual performances. The Warhawks will look to build on those efforts as they continue through the remainder of the season. Daleville hosts Ashford on Tuesday, January 20, and they hope to regroup and prepare for the next matchup.
