Ozark— Her Haven hosted a successful Self-Wellness and Love community event on Saturday, June 27, bringing together women, youth, local vendors, health professionals, and community supporters for a day focused on wellness, encouragement, movement, and connection.
The event was created to promote self-care, physical wellness, community support, and positive engagement among women and youth in the Wiregrass area. Guests enjoyed an uplifting atmosphere filled with resources, encouragement, and activities designed to remind attendees of the importance of taking care of themselves mentally, physically, and emotionally.
A special highlight of the event was the presence of the Lady Eagles, who came out and showed tremendous support. Their energy, participation, and encouragement added something special to the day and helped make the event even more memorable.
Her Haven also welcomed several local vendors who shared products, services, and resources with attendees. Their presence helped create a strong community-centered experience and gave guests the opportunity to connect with local businesses and organizations.
The program included a wellness presentation from CRNP Angie Rodgers, who provided valuable health information and encouraged attendees to prioritize their well-being. Dr. Daniella Peterman also led an energetic Zumba session, bringing movement, fun, and excitement to the event.
Her Haven board members worked together to organize and host the event as part of the organization’s continued mission to support young women, families, and the community through empowerment, education, mentorship, and outreach.

AN EVENING OF HOPE, INSPIRATION, AND COMMUNITY IS COMING TO OZARK
Her Haven has announced its 2nd Annual Empower Her Gala, themed “Emerald City: Where Hope Finds Its Sparkle,” set for Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, at the Ozark Civic Center.
The gala raises funds to support Her Haven’s mission of empowering young women across the Wiregrass through mentorship, housing support, education, life skills, and community programs.
