OZARK — Her Haven is inviting community members to focus on their physical, mental, and emotional well-being during its upcoming Wellness Reset Day on June 27.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Magnolia Gardens, 201 East Avenue in Ozark, and will offer participants practical tools and resources to support healthier lifestyles.
Activities will include:
Guided mental health session
Beginner-friendly Zumba class
Personal health plan workshop
Wellness resource table
Light refreshments
*Children and youth may accompany an adult for free (adult tickets are $10)
The featured guests are Dr. Danielle Redding Peterman, who will lead the Zumba session, and Angela Rodgers, CRNP, who will guide on creating personal healthcare plans and improving overall wellness.
Her Haven Founder Cierra McLendon Berry said the event was created to remind people that wellness extends beyond physical health.
“Wellness is more than physical health—it is emotional, mental, and spiritual restoration,” Berry said.
While Her Haven is widely known for supporting foster youth, the nonprofit also serves young women across Alabama through mentorship, financial literacy, career readiness programs, mental health support, and community resources.
Founded by Berry, the organization operates a transitional housing and personal development program for women ages 18 to 25. Her Haven provides rent-free container homes, mentorship, life-skills training, educational support, and resources designed to help young women achieve independence and stability.
“Her Haven exists to provide hope, support, and resources for young women who need a safe place to grow, heal, and rebuild,” Berry said. “Every event we host is another opportunity to pour back into our community and remind women and youth across Alabama that they are not alone.”
Event planners describe the Wellness Reset Day as an afternoon of restoration, reflection, and empowerment designed to help participants build healthier habits and set personal wellness goals.
Admission is $10 per person. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle. Children and youth may attend for free. Her Haven has made this decision because they want the event to be family-friendly and accessible to all families.
