The holiday spirit is headed to the Flowers Center on Friday, December 12, as families are invited to step into the whimsical world of Whoville for a festive evening benefiting the upcoming high school production of Sister Act.
The event, running from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., offers children a chance to immerse themselves in a variety of Christmas-themed activities. Kids will have the opportunity to decorate Christmas cookies, enjoy a hot chocolate bar, receive a “Who” makeover, create holiday crafts, and participate in several other seasonal attractions.
Brenda Shirley, president of the Dale County Performing Arts Council, said of the event, “This is a fundraiser for our high school show that will be performed in February.” She added that they are asking those planning to attend sign up so the Flowers Center will have a more accurate idea of how many people to expect. Admission is $20 per child, with all proceeds supporting the high school’s Sister Act production. Organizers encourage families to come out, enjoy the fun, and help support local student performers as they prepare for their spring show.
The community is invited to join in and experience a night of holiday cheer—Whoville style.
