OZARK—Lisenby Primary School has officially opened registration for its incoming kindergarten class for the 2026–27 school year, with school officials encouraging families to begin the process early through the district’s online enrollment system.
All new student registration will be completed digitally using the PowerSchool platform, a move aimed at simplifying enrollment for parents and guardians.
“Registration is now open, and we are excited to welcome the Class of 2039 to Ozark City Schools and Lisenby Primary School!” said Principal Kristen Cruitt. “Lisenby serves as a strong, joyful foundation for each child’s educational journey, where we focus on early literacy and numeracy while nurturing so much more than academics. I am absolutely thrilled to meet our newest little Eagles and begin this exciting journey together.”
The enrollment process differs depending on whether families already have children enrolled in Ozark City Schools.
Families new to the district must first create a PowerSchool account using the New Student Registration link available on the school’s website. All required documentation must be uploaded before submission of the online forms can be completed.
For families with students already enrolled in the district, including those who do not yet have a PowerSchool account, school officials ask that parents email [email protected] to receive instructions for setting up or linking their account. The email should include the parent’s full name, the names of currently enrolled students, and the preferred email address for the account.
To complete registration, parents will need to provide several required documents in digital format. These include proof of residency dated within the past 30 days, such as a current electric bill or receipt, a valid Alabama immunization certificate, and a state-issued photo ID for the parent or guardian. Documentation verifying legal guardianship is also required when applicable.
School officials note that submitting a child’s Social Security card and birth certificate is optional, though those documents may be used for identification and guardianship verification purposes.
