The Ozark Kiwanis Club and the surrounding community are mourning the loss of Norm Kinney, a longtime Kiwanian and dedicated community servant, who passed away early Sunday morning. Kinney, a resident of the Post Oak Community near Ozark, was 81.
Kinney was a member of the Ozark Kiwanis Club for over five decades and was its oldest member, a distinction that reflected not only his longevity but also his unwavering commitment to service. Fellow Kiwanians remember him as someone who could always be counted on for quietly showing up, lending a hand, supporting the club’s mission with a willing heart, and so much more he contributed to the community as a whole.
Over the decades, Kinney played an active role in numerous Kiwanis Club projects that benefited children and families throughout the area. His involvement included the Brown Bag Program, the Vivian B. Adams Shopping Spree, Adopt-A-Mile, the annual Pancake Supper, and local parades, among many other initiatives. Through these efforts, he left a lasting mark on the community he cared so deeply about.
Those who knew Kinney describe him as kind, dependable, and deeply devoted to serving others. His legacy of service, friendship, and compassion will continue to be felt by the Ozark Kiwanis Club, the Ozark community, and the many lives he touched over the decades of his dedicated service to the people of Ozark and surrounding communities.
The Kiwanis Club has asked the community to keep Kinney’s family, friends, and fellow members in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time, honoring a life well lived and a servant whose impact will not be forgotten.
