Where Stories Meet Community: Ozark Library Unveils a Packed November Lineup
From story times and art clubs to local history and holiday events, the Ozark-Dale County Library offers something for everyone this month.

OZARK –The Ozark‐Dale County Library has announced a robust lineup of programs for November, with something for readers, gamers, crafters, teens, and families alike.
On Friday, November 7, the library rededicated the Revolutionary War monument in cooperation with the Sons of the American Revolution and the U.S. Army Warrant Officer Career College — a ceremony held yesterday afternoon that brought together community members and local history enthusiasts. We have included photos provided by the library from the original dedication at the old library on November 9, 2000.
Also, to honor Veterans Day, the library invites the public to join them for a special program on November 12, with one event at 10:30 am and another at 3:30 p.m., as they hold a special reading of the children’s book, Daddy Got His Orders, which focuses on a military family. There will be arts and crafts and a snack! So, be sure to bring your little ones as the library honors our veterans.
Also, the library’s popular Game On! nights continue every Friday from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m., offering a relaxed space for teens and adults to play and socialize.
Meanwhile, Reading Abroad @ Oakview meets on select Fridays, giving participants a chance to explore international literature together.
For children and families: Story Time sessions run every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. A Toddler Tales session is scheduled for November 13 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., while Homeschool Hangout will meet the same day from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Crafters and knitting and/or crocheting enthusiasts can join Twisted Stitches, a fun and creative club which meets on the 2nd & 4th Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
On Thursday, November 6 the library held its Society of Scribblers writing group from 4 to 6 p.m., ahead of the current-month activities. The writing group, which is designed for all ages and all skill levels, meets on the 1st Thursday of each month from 4-6 p.m.
On the third Saturday of the month (Sat., November 15), the Drawn Together Teen Art Club will meet from 2-3p.m. and the Prose & Cons Teen Media Club will gather for an afternoon of creativity and collaboration from 1-2p.m.

- Friends of the Library Meeting – November 8, 10–11 a.m.
- Curiosity Crew – November 8, 2–3 p.m.
- Eagle’s Rest Book Club – November 22, 10–11 a.m.
- Lego Club – November 25, 4–5 p.m.
- Will Writing Workshop with Attorney Sara Matthews – November 18, 1:30–2:30 p.m.
- Library Board Meeting – November 19, 11 a.m.–12 p.m.
The library will be closed on Veterans Day, November 11, and for the Thanksgiving holiday from November 27-29.
