A family dispute turned physically violent yesterday, according to the Ozark Police Department. An Ozark man was arrested on Tuesday after a family dispute escalated into a physical altercation that left another man with stab wounds, according to police.

Officers and investigators responded to a residence on Will Logan Road at approximately 12:45 p.m. on March 10 after receiving a call about a dispute between family members. While officers were en route to the scene, the situation reportedly escalated into a physical altercation and a possible stabbing, police added.

When officers arrived, they determined that two individuals were involved in the incident. One of the individuals had visible injuries and received medical treatment at the scene for wounds to his back that were described as non-life-threatening.

Investigators determined that a verbal altercation between the two family members quickly turned physically violent. During the confrontation, police said 32-year-old Isaiah McGuire of Ozark stabbed the other individual twice with a kitchen utensil.

McGuire was taken into custody at the scene and charged with second-degree assault. He remains in the Dale County Jail.
