OZARK, Ala. — A 25-year-old Ozark man has been arrested following a reported burglary and sexual assault Friday night, according to the Ozark Police Department.
Officers, investigators, and deputies with the Dale County Sheriff’s Office responded around 8:30 p.m. on April 24 to the 1500 block of County Road 30 in reference to the incident.
Upon arrival, authorities determined the suspect had fled the scene. During the course of the investigation, officials said they developed sufficient evidence to believe both a burglary and a sexual assault had occurred.
After what police described as a thorough investigation, and with assistance from the Dale County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect, identified as Brennan Daniel Harper, was located near the residence.
Harper was taken into custody and placed under arrest.
Authorities emphasized that Harper is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
