Ozark Police Department officials have arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with an alleged sexual assault reported earlier this week.
According to a press release issued April 22, officers and investigators responded to a local hospital around 9 p.m. on April 21 after receiving a report of an alleged sexual assault. Following what authorities described as a “lengthy investigation,” evidence was developed indicating that an assault had occurred.
Investigators traced the case to a residence in Ozark, where they identified the suspect as Andrew Rabion. After obtaining search warrants, officers arrested Rabion at his home. Police said additional evidence was discovered and seized during the search.
Rabion has been charged with first-degree rape and first-degree sodomy, according to the release.
Authorities emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing and that Rabion is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
