OZARK, AL — Residents of Ozark now have a designated safe location for conducting internet-related transactions or custodial exchanges, the Ozark Police Department announced.
The safe exchange site, located in front of Ozark City Hall, is equipped with video surveillance to provide added security for citizens during exchanges. Officials emphasized that this space is intended to help prevent potential safety risks when meeting strangers or exchanging children for custodial purposes.
Police remind the public that in the event of an emergency, individuals should always dial 911.
In an announcement from the Ozark Bureau of Police, the “new safe exchange location reflects the city’s ongoing commitment to community safety and proactive measures for residents.”
