The City of Ozark invites the public to attend the inauguration ceremony for the incoming mayor and city council members
The inauguration ceremony will be held on Monday, November 3, at 9 a.m. The ceremony will take place at the Matthews-Scippio Academy Church of God by Faith, located at 271 Willa Circle, in Ozark.
Mayor-elect Charles Ward, who has served Ozark as the Police Chief and Director of the Department of Public Safety, will be sworn in, along with the newly-elected and re-elected city council members.
For Place 1, voters chose challenger Bryan Macario. Council Member Les Perault, who serves as the Place 2 council member, was not challenged and will remain in office in the new administration. For Place 3, incumbent Councilman Winston Jackson won his reelection campaign. Brenda Simechak, the Council President and member for Place 4, was unopposed, and she will also serve again in the new administration. Finally, for Place 5, challenger Caitlyn Cummings won her campaign against incumbent Stanley Enfinger. Cummings will join the others for the inauguration ceremony on Monday, November 3.
The public is invited to attend. A reception will take place after the ceremony.
