According to authorities, the pedestrian who was injured after being struck by a vehicle traveling along US Highway 231 in Ozark is in stable condition. Authorities say the pedestrian is being treated for moderate (non-life-threatening) injuries.

OZARK–A pedestrian was injured Friday night after being struck by a vehicle along U.S. Highway 231 in Ozark, according to local authorities.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:43 p.m. on April 10 near Stratford Drive (near the Ozark Walmart). The Ozark Police Department and Dale County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a collision involving a single vehicle and a pedestrian.
Officials said the vehicle was traveling northbound when it struck the pedestrian in the lane of traffic. The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
The pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital with what authorities described as “moderate injuries.” No additional information about the individual’s condition has been released at this time.
Investigators with the Ozark Police Department Traffic Unit are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Motorists are urged to use caution in the area as the investigation continues. Traffic delays are expected.
