ARITON — The Ariton varsity boys put together a balanced, team-first performance Tuesday night, cruising to a convincing 55–29 victory over Northside Methodist Academy (NMA) in high school basketball action.
Ariton set the tone early with disciplined defense and efficient ball movement, steadily building separation as the game progressed. Easton Kilpatrick led the way with 11 points while also dishing out seven assists, orchestrating the offense, and keeping teammates involved throughout the night. Addison Senn added 11 points of his own, and Conner Davidson chipped in 10 points to round out a strong scoring effort for the Purple Cats.
Defensively, Ariton limited NMA’s scoring opportunities and forced tough shots throughout the contest, holding the Knights to 29 points. NMA was led by a balanced scoring effort, with Martin Collins, Kingston Whaley, Noah Robinson, and Wes Brown each finishing with five points.
With the win, the Ariton improves to 17-3 for the season. The victory comes on the heels of a major milestone for the Purple Cats, who recently clinched the Class 2A, Area 4 regular season championship, continuing a strong season marked by growth and consistency.
