OZARK —Get ready for a “reel” good time as the Dale County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) prepares to hold its annual Youth Fishing Rodeo. Local families are invited to bring their children so the kids can take part in this event planned for Saturday, April 25.
The event is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and is open to children ages 15 and under. It will take place at the Dale Medical Surgery Center, providing a morning of outdoor fun and community engagement for young anglers. The address is 2126 W Roy Parker Road, Ozark, AL, which is at the intersection of U.S. Highway 231.
According to an announcement from the Sheriff’s Office, registration is now open, and families are encouraged to sign up in advance using the online form. Organizers say the rodeo is designed to give children an opportunity to enjoy fishing in a safe, family-friendly environment while building relationships with local law enforcement.
In addition to the event itself, the Sheriff’s Office is offering official Youth Fishing Rodeo T-shirts. Officials are encouraging families to purchase shirts ahead of time, noting that orders must be placed by Monday, April 13.
The annual rodeo has become a popular community tradition in Dale County, drawing families from across the area for a morning of fishing, prizes, and fellowship.
