According to officials with the Ozark Police Department, Derrick Shaquill Bean has been arrested and charged with two counts each of shooting into an unoccupied vehicle and reckless endangerment.
The arrest comes after authorities led a search to find Mr. Bean after reports of an individual opening fire in a residential area on Harris Road in Ozark.

Ozark Police Department officials are searching for a suspect following a shots-fired incident on Monday afternoon in Ozark.
According to a press release, officers with the Ozark Police Department, along with the Dale County Sheriff’s Office, responded at approximately 4:38 p.m. on April 6 to the 1000 block of Harris Road after receiving reports of gunfire near an apartment complex.
Law enforcement officials secured the scene and began an investigation. Authorities said two vehicles at the location were struck by gunfire, and investigators recovered shell casings and other evidence from the area.
Police identified the suspect as Derrick Shaquill Bean, 32, of Ozark. Investigators determined that Bean allegedly drove onto the property and became involved in a verbal dispute with another individual before the situation escalated.
“Moments later, Mr. Bean began shooting at the other individual with a handgun, subsequently striking two unoccupied vehicles,” the release stated.
No injuries were reported, though authorities noted that citizens were in the area at the time of the shooting. It remains unclear whether the other individual involved returned fire.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional details have been released.
Bean is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to call 911 or contact the Ozark Police Department at 334-774-2644.
