DALEVILLE — The Daleville Public Library will offer a wide range of educational, creative, and community-focused programs throughout February 2026, providing opportunities for residents of all ages to learn, connect, and explore new interests.
Teen readers are invited to participate in the Teen Book Club, which meets each Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 4, 11, 18, and 25. The program brings together area homeschool students and other teens to share ideas, discuss books, and build connections through reading.
For younger patrons, Little Learners Storytime will be held on Fridays at 10 a.m. on Feb. 6, 13, 20, and 27. These sessions are designed to promote early literacy through stories, music, crafts, and interactive play, while also providing parents with an opportunity to connect.
The library will launch a new creative program, Midday Scrap Studio, at noon on Tuesday, Feb. 10. The monthly program, which will meet on the second Tuesday of each month, is designed as a relaxed, low-stress space where participants can transform memories and everyday items into journal pages. The Daleville Senior Center will join the kickoff session, though the program is open to anyone interested.
“This is a low-stress program designed to encourage turning memories or everyday ephemera into a journal page,” the library said in its announcement. “Everyone who wants to take a break, relax, and glue stuff together is welcome to join us.”
Family ASL sessions will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 13 and Feb. 27. The program encourages families to learn American Sign Language together using library-provided resources and educational content from Deaf creators and teachers. The group is expected to meet on the second and fourth Fridays each month, with opportunities for additional meeting times.
The Nature Club will meet at 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 6 and Feb. 20, offering hands-on learning experiences that encourage curiosity about the natural world.
Creative programming continues with Scrap Paper Saturdays, scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon on Feb. 7 and Feb. 21, inviting families to explore art and creativity using recycled and scrap materials.
Adult programming includes a Senior Movie on Feb. 19 at 12:15 p.m., followed by the Book Club for Adults meeting at 4 p.m. that same day.
Community involvement remains a priority for the library, with a Library Board Meeting scheduled for Feb. 26 at 4 p.m. The Daleville Amateur Radio Club will also host its monthly meeting at the library on Feb. 28 at 10 a.m.
The library is always closed on Sundays, though it will close Saturday, Feb. 14, through Monday, Feb. 16, in observance of Presidents Day. The library director explained that the extra days are necessary due to staffing and scheduling considerations.
The Daleville Public Library and the Daleville Public Library Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, are committed to providing fun and educational opportunities for people of all ages.
