Newton–The Great Adventure of Kindness & Literacy event, which will include activities like a Cornhole Tournament for all ages, is set to take place in Heroes Park on Sunday, April 12, from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
The event, which is being organized and hosted by Miss Newton Laney Deloney and Little Miss Newton Emery Offutt, will include a Cornhole tournament for all ages with a cash prize for the winner; a kindness bingo, which will offer various prizes; free book buddies, which are plush animals that are aimed at motivating reading; and more.
There is also a coloring contest for children in pre-K-6th grade. The winner of the contest will win a free LED coloring board. To enter, you must print out the coloring page included below and take it to the gazebo on Sunday.
There will also be food vendors and other businesses at the event, and a portion of the proceeds from sales will be donated to the Newton Volunteer Fire Department.
Other Newton pageant queens will be present to share information about their community service initiatives.
The event is free to attend and open to the general public.
