Three United States service members have died, and five others are seriously wounded during ongoing military operations targeting Iran, U.S. Central Command confirmed Sunday. The announcement marks the first American combat deaths since Washington and its allies launched strikes earlier this weekend.
In a statement posted on social media, CENTCOM said that several additional U.S. personnel sustained minor shrapnel injuries and concussions and are being returned to duty.
