A heavy law enforcement presence filled Gardenia Street in Midland City on Sunday evening after two individuals were discovered dead inside a residence.
Midland City Police Chief Powell, Dale County Sheriff’s Department deputies, Dale County Coroner John Cawley, and Alabama Law Enforcement Agency troopers all responded to the scene at approximately 6:30 p.m. One official confirmed both people were already deceased when the first responders arrived.
Coroner John Cawley said the situation is still developing and that very little information is available at this point. Once we receive more details, we will provide an update.
