Each week, we introduce you to two pets in need of a loving home. This week, we want to introduce you all to Faith and Thumper.
Faith is our sun-chasing adventurer by day and cozy companion by night.
Faith needs a patient, quiet home that will give her the time she needs to grow, heal, and build confidence. She has the most stunning, soulful eyes, the kind that seem to look straight into your heart. Faith doesn’t just glance at you; she studies you with a depth, devotion, and gentleness that is rare to find.
Faith is a timid, soft-hearted little girl who is trying so hard to be brave in a world that has felt overwhelming. Beneath that shy nature is a loving, loyal companion just waiting for the right person to help her feel safe.
About Faith
1-year-old Shepherd mix
Heartworm negative
Spayed and vaccinated
Microchipped
Calm, gentle, and submissive temperament
Dog friendly with soft, appropriate behavior
Ignores indoor cats; outside, she may be playful, curious, and may chase
Easy to handle once she feels comfortable
House trained and kennel trained overnight, but prefers to be outside
Loves relaxing at your feet on the porch at the end of the day
Walks on leash, but still needs a little correction and guidance
Faith is also full of life and has an adventurous spirit. She absolutely thrives outdoors, whether she is running in a fenced yard, playing fetch, or enjoying long walks. She would love an active home where she can safely explore and enjoy the world around her.
After a day of play, Faith is happiest simply being near her person. She is smart, eager to learn, and with a little patience and love, she has all the makings of an incredible best friend.

Thumper isn’t just a dog—he’s a whole personality. This sweet, silly boy is just waiting for someone to notice him and say, “That’s my dog.” 🐶
Around 1–2 years old and about 60 lbs, Thumper is the perfect mix of fun energy and loyal companion. He LOVES to run, especially when the zoomies hit—and trust us, they’re legendary. A fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and play would make his whole world.
He’s great on a leash, enjoys going for walks, and absolutely loves other dogs. Thumper would do best with a playful dog friend who doesn’t mind a little goofy roughhousing and a lot of fun. 🐕💨
🚫 Thumper’s only request: no small kiddos. He’s a big, strong, bouncy boy who sometimes forgets just how big he is.
Thumper came from Russell County Animal Control after being picked up as a stray during a raid. No one ever came to claim him. 💔 He was nearly euthanized simply because the shelter was full—but now he’s safe and finally getting the chance he deserves.
🩺 Thumper is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives.
This big, lovable goofball has come so far. Now all he needs is someone willing to give him the home he’s been waiting for.
