Wiregrass Area— Residents across Dale County and the Wiregrass can look forward to temporary relief from the summer heat as incoming rainfall keeps temperatures down through the weekend, before a noticeable warming trend returns early next week.
Last night, the Wiregrass experienced strong thunderstorms that caused power outages in areas across Dale County and the Wiregrass Area. Fortunately, there have been no injuries or major property damage reported.
A humid air mass carrying a dew point of 78°F and 66% relative humidity will drive scattered storm chances through Sunday, keeping high temperatures in the mid-80s before daytime highs climb back into the 90s.
