The Wicksburg Lady Panthers turned in another commanding performance Tuesday night, rolling to a 54–33 win over Hartford in a matchup that showcased their depth, discipline, and control from start to finish.
Wicksburg wasted no time setting the tone, jumping out to an 18–9 lead after the opening quarter. The pressure only intensified from there, as the Lady Panthers tightened up defensively and pushed their advantage to 34–14 by halftime.
Coming out of the break, Wicksburg continued to dictate the pace, stretching the margin to 48–23 by the end of the third quarter. With the game well in hand, the fourth period gave the Panthers an opportunity to rotate players, build experience across the roster, and still close out the night with a confident 54–33 victory.
The win adds momentum as Wicksburg turns its attention to a quick turnaround, preparing to face GW Long tomorrow night.
The Wicksburg JV Boys played a thriller of a game tonight.
The young Panthers fell behind early in their showdown against Geneva County. However, they did not concede defeat. They managed to fight their way back even though the game remained close through to the end.
By the buzzer, the JV boys managed to clinch a close victory, 43-41.
